Top College Coach is committed to ensuring that our website — TopCollegeCoach.com — is accessible to all users, including students with disabilities, parents, and families navigating the college admissions process. We believe every high-achieving student deserves equal access to expert college counseling guidance, regardless of ability.

Our Commitment to Accessibility

Top College Coach strives to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, established by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with disabilities, including those with visual, auditory, cognitive, and motor impairments.

Our ongoing accessibility efforts include:

  • Keyboard navigation — All core site functionality is accessible without a mouse

  • Screen reader compatibility — Content is structured with semantic HTML and descriptive labels

  • Color contrast — Text and background combinations meet or exceed WCAG AA contrast ratios

  • Alt text — Meaningful alternative text is provided for all non-decorative images

  • Readable fonts — Text is scalable and readable across devices and zoom levels

  • Descriptive links — Links are written to make sense out of context for screen reader users

  • Video captions — Media content includes captions where applicable

Possible Limitations

Top College Coach is built on the Wix platform. While we actively optimize for accessibility within our control, some third-party features or embedded tools may not fully conform to WCAG 2.1 AA standards. We are continuously working to identify and address these gaps.

  • Used the Accessibility Wizard to find and fix potential accessibility issues

  • Set the language of the site 

  • Set the content order of the site’s pages

  • Defined clear heading structures on all of the site’s pages

  • Added alternative text to images

  • Implemented color combinations that meet the required color contrast

  • Reduced the use of motion on the site

  • Ensured all videos, audio, and files on the site are accessible
